July 4th Each year on or around 4 July the "American Community" puts on a 4th of July picnic. This is the first year I have attended. Lots of free hot dogs, beer, coffee, ice cream and entertainment. Most important…lots of games for kids and lots of kids playing games: Egg toss with water balloons, sack races, throwing games. Lots of good "old fashioned" fun, with a reminder of the "new" America we have created. Everyone got frisked on the way in, and my fingernail clippers (dangerous weapons that they are) were taken from me. We must fear these things.
